NOTRE DAME, Ind. – University of Notre Dame men’s golfer Max Scodro has been tabbed BIG EAST Men’s Golfer of the Week, it was announced by the league Wednesday. This is the first such honor of the season for Scodro.

On the week, Scodro earned his sixth top-25 finish of the season, tying for 13th at the Schenkel Invitational. The tournament featured six teams (out of 14) ranked in the national top-30 and included 16 individuals who ranked in the Golfstat Cup rankings, including Scodro at 51st.

Scodro finished the tournament with a score of 212 (-4), aided by posting two sub-par rounds and one round of even par. The Chicago, Ill., native leads the team in both under-par (8) and even-par (3) rounds on the season and has broken 70 on four occasions. It also is the fifth team-leading effort of the season for the Irish captain.

Scodro and the rest of the Irish return to the course this weekend as they head to Greensboro, Ga., to take part in the Linger Longer Invitational Saturday and Sunday.
