PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. — Notre Dame shot a final round 306 to finish tied for ninth at the 2017 ACC Women’s Golf Championship at the Reserve Golf Club Pawleys Island (par 72/6,192 yards).
Sophomore Emma Albrecht shot a final round, one-over par 73. She paced the Irish with a three-round total of three-over par 219 to tie for 17th.
Duke (859) won the ACC Championship by nine strokes over second-place Florida State (868). Leona Maguire (Duke) took medalist honors with a six-under par 210, which was two strokes better than Jennifer Kupcho (Wake Forest), who placed second.
Notre Dame Notables
Albrecht carded 15 pars during Saturday’s final round of play to go along with two bogeys and a birdie on the par-3 seventh. Her tie for 17th matched her finish at the 2016 ACC Championship, while her three-over par total was the fourth best total by a Notre Dame golfer in the ACC Championship in four years of playing the event (the first three of those were played at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C).
Albrecht led the 60-player field with 43 pars over the three rounds of play. She also played the par 3’s at a one-under par clip for the weekend, which tied for sixth in the field.
Sophomore Isabella DiLisio carded a two-over par 74 on Saturday for her best round of the championship. She notched 14 pars as well as a birdie at the par-4 15th.
Sophomore Maddie Rose Hamilton (78) and senior Jordan Ferreira (81) also scored for the Irish. Hamilton and Ferreira each birdied the par-3 11th. Alison Snakard shot an 82.

Dan Colleran, associate athletics communications director at the University of Notre Dame, has been a part of Fighting Irish Media since August 2015 and coordinates all media and publicity efforts surrounding the Notre Dame hockey and golf programs. A native of Walpole, Massachusetts, Colleran spent the previous three years working with the men’s hockey and soccer programs at Providence College. Colleran also spent two years as an Assistant Executive Director of Communications & Championships at the Ivy League and is a graduate of Providence College (’06 & ’08G).
