Day One Results Get Acrobat Reader

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Notre Dame men’s golf team improved 13 strokes from the first round to the second round on Monday, going from a 296 to a 283 and lifting the Irish into a ninth-place tie with BYU out of 16 teams competing in the National Invitational Tournament.

Overall, the Irish claim a 579 (+3) through 36 holes of play. Iowa State is in first place at 549 (-27), a stroke ahead of Arizona State’s 550 (-26).

About the Course

The Omni Tucson National’s Catalina Course is the former host of the PGA TOUR’s Chrysler Classic. It is a par-72 which will play at 7,262 yards for the N.I.T.

Final Round on Tuesday

Play concludes in Tucson on Tuesday morning with the final 18 holes of the 54-hole event. Play beings at 11 a.m. ET. The Irish are paired with BYU, Utah and New Mexico State.
