Irish Game Versus Red Stars Moved To Chicago

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The University of Notre Dame women’s soccer team’s scheduled spring exhibition against the Chicago Red Stars of the National Women’s Soccer League, originally scheduled to be played Thursday at Alumni Stadium, has been moved to Friday in Bridgeview, Illinois.

The teams will play at 6 p.m. ET at the grass training field at the Red Stars’ home venue of Toyota Park. The game was initially slated for 5 p.m. ET on Thursday.

Friday’s game will be closed to the public.

The Irish are 1-0-1 so far this spring, having defeated Purdue and tied with Iowa.

Joanne Norell, athletics communications assistant director at the University of Notre Dame, has been part of the Fighting Irish athletics communications team since 2014 and coordinates communications efforts for the Notre Dame women’s soccer, men’s tennis, women’s tennis and fencing programs.
