Irish Collect Several Top-10 Finishes at Len Paddock Open

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Notre Dame traveled to the Len Paddock Open on the campus of the University of Michigan where the Irish took home several top-ten finishes, including winning the women’s 1500 meter run.

Tyrah Taylor took eighth in the 200m dash with a time of 25.96, and sixth in the 100m dash crossing the finish line at 12.82. In the women’s pole vault, Alexandra Chlumsky took ninth with a mark of 3.39m. 

Molly Grant ran for a time of 2:14.38 taking eighth place in the women’s 800 meter run. She was joined in the race by teammate Catherine Coffey who ran for a time of 2:17.01 taking 12th place.

Olivia Markezich took home first place in the 1500 meter run when she crossed the finish line at 4:20.21. Sophie Novak also ran in the 1500 meter run when she took home seventh place with a time of 4:28.89. Madeline King took eighth place with a time of 4:32.16, Megan Hughes took 12th with a time of 4:41.24. Emily Eberhart, Olivia Niziolek, and Anna Fischer ran for times of 4:43.07, 4:44.28, and 4:53.07, respectively.

In the men’s 100 meter dash, Paul Baynes took second place with a time of 10.84. Baynes also ran in the 200 meter with a time of 22.11. In the 400 meter race, Matthew Cornelius, took fourth place with a time of 50.50.
