GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference released its Preseason All-ACC selections for women’s soccer, along with the head coaches’ predicted order of finish. Super sophomore Korbin Albert made the 12-person Preseason All-ACC list, while Notre Dame was picked to finish sixth. Last season, Albert was an ACC All-Freshmen Team honoree, while also picking up Third Team accolades as well.
Albert finished with the second most goals on the team with 12, which ranked fourth in the ACC. Nationally, amongst Division I freshmen, Albert’s 12 goals ranked second, just one goal behind Radford’s Kat Parris. Albert finished the season strong, scoring eight goals over the final 11 games, including four in the last four.
Albert will miss the first few weeks with the Irish but for good reason. She is currently in Costa Rica vying for the U20 World Cup title with Team USA.
