SOUTH BEND, Ind. — One women’s swimmer and two divers are heading back to McAuley Aquatic Center this week for the 2022 NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships. The meet kicks off on Wednesday, March 16 and will run through Saturday, March 19.

Graduate student Kelly Straub and freshman Calie Brady will be competing in the 1-meter diving event while Straub will also compete in the 3-meter diving event. Senior Luciana Thomas qualified for the 200 butterfly and also had a B-Cut time in the 500 freestyle.

The first events for the Irish will be in the Thursday morning session starting at 10 a.m. ET as the 500 freestyle prelims and 1-meter diving prelims are set to take place. If Thomas, Straub and Brady qualify for the finals, they will begin starting at 6 p.m. ET on Thursday.

On Friday, Straub will be back on the diving board for the 3-meter diving prelims in the morning with the finals coming later in the evening.

On the final day of competition, Thomas will be back in the pool for the 200 butterfly prelims. She comes in with the 24th fastest time of all the qualifiers with a 1:55.06. The finals portion of the event will also be held later in the evening.

The prelims and finals for all four days will be broadcast on ESPN3.
