NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame women’s lacrosse team has signed two more high school seniors to national letters of intent, Irish head coach Tracy Coyne announced Monday. Jen Berarducci (Sykesville, Md.) and Angela Dixon (Pennsauken, N.J.) mark the latest additions to Notre Dame’s class of 2003. The pair join Elizabeth Knight, Kelly McCardell, Meredith Potempa, Anne Riley, Danielle Shearer and Jennifer White to bring the 2000 freshman class to eight.

Jen and Angela really round out our class and cap off a great third class for us, said Coyne. Jen has excellent speed for a low defender so her ability to defend top attack players will be an asset to the team. Angela has strong moves will the ball and combines great athletic ability, speed and scoring skills.

A four-year starting defender at Liberty High School in Eldersburg, Md., Berarducci has been selected to the Baltimore Sun’s all-county first team as both a sophomore and a junior. She led her team to the state semifinals in 1998 and was also a four-year starter on Liberty’s soccer team.

Dixon has starred at attack at Moorestown Friends School, leading her team to consecutive league championships in 1997-98. She scored 65 goals in 1998 and 43 in 1997, while earning the team MVP award as a sophomore. Dixon also was a standout field hockey player at Moorestown Friends.
