WILMINGTON, N.C. – The University of Notre Dame women’s golf team is in seventh place after the second day of the Landfall Tradition at the Dye Golf Course in Wilmington, N.C. Leading the Irish is junior Becca Huffer (Denver, Colo./Littleton) who rounded out a 73 (+1) and is tied for 8th place.
Duke has gained sole possession of first place at the conclusion of the second day, totaling 575 (-1). UCLA and North Carolina are tied for second at 580 (+4).
Virginia’s Brittany Altomare currently sits in first place (139/-5), while Lindy Duncan of Duke is in the runner-up position. Duncan made a tremendous leap from her 19th place spot at the conclusion of the first round.
Freshmen Nicole Zhang (Calgary, Alberta/Bishop Carroll) is tied for 15th and posted a 73 (+1) on the day, while Kristina Nhim (Cypress, Calif./Cypress) posted a 77 (+5) and is in a tie for 35th place.
Rounding out the Irish scores are seniors So-Hyun Park (Seoul, South Korea/Bradenton Preparatory Academy) and Katie Conway (Wading River, N.Y./Shoreham-Wading River). Park finished the day at 78 (+6) and is tied at 54th, while Conway sits in 85th after rounding out an 81 (+9).
