Women's Basketball Game At Arizona State Slated To Be Televised Nationally By Fox Sports Net

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame women’s basketball team will face Arizona State at noon MST (2 p.m. in South Bend) Saturday, Dec. 7 in the AstraZeneca Hoops for the Cure Classic II at Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Ariz., it was announced Thursday evening.

Fox Sports Net will broadcast the Notre Dame-ASU contest to a national television audience as part of the Pacific-10 Conference television package. It will be the first of three national television appearances for the Irish this season — they also are scheduled to face Purdue Jan. 4 at 4 p.m. EST on CBS, and battle defending national champion Connecticut Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. EST on ESPN2. Both the Purdue and Connecticut games will be played at the Joyce Center.

The second game of the AstraZeneca Hoops for the Cure Classic II doubleheader, pitting Purdue and Vanderbilt, will tip off at 2:30 p.m. MST. Proceeds from the twinbill will be donated to the Phoenix affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation to benefit breast cancer research, treatment and education in the Valley of the Sun.
