Notre Dame men’s basketball all-time leading scorer Austin Carr returned to campus over the weekend to receive two memorable honors from the University.
Carr became the second former Irish men’s basketball player to have his name and number added to the Purcell Pavilion rafters, joining Luke Harangody. He also was surprised to learn that the lower level of Purcell Pavilion will be renamed for as the Austin Carr Concourse.
Und.com has full coverage of Saturday’s events, including rare hard-to-find footage of Carr’s amazing 61-point record-setting performance in the 1970 NCAA Championship tournament against Ohio University.
So, feel free to sit back, relax and relive the weekend, the 61-point game and an exclusive interview with und.com and Carr.
