Trey Mancini Named BIG EAST Player of the Week

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame 1B Trey Mancini (Winter Haven, Fla./Winter Haven H.S.) has been selected as the BIG EAST Conference Player of the Week, it was announced Monday by the conference office. He was named to the BIG EAST honor roll back on Feb. 27.

Mancini keyed Notre Dame’s three-game sweep at Georgetown, hitting .500 (6-for-12) and slugging a league-high 1.333 against the Hoyas to help the Irish gain two places in the BIG EAST standings. He scored four runs, had four RBI and saw four of his six hits go for extra bases, including a two-home run performance in the second game of the series.
