NOTRE DAME-BC SERIES NOTES
- The series has been continuous since 1992 and is slated to continue through 2004.
- The first game of the series was held at Foxboro Stadium in 1975 (a 17-3 Irish win in Dan Devine’s first game as head coach) while the other neutral-field game in the series was at Memphis, Tenn., in the 1983 Liberty Bowl (a 19-18 win for the Irish over the 13th-ranked Eagles).
- Ten of the previous 11 games have seen at least one team ranked in that week’s AP poll, with the higher-ranked team holding a 7-3 edge.
ND-BC CONNECTIONS
Second-year ND assistant coach Jerry Rosburg (cornerbacks, special teams) spent the ’97 and ’98 seasons as secondary coach at BC while first-year BC associate athletic director/sports information director Michael Enright worked in the ND SID Office from 1992-2000.

One of the nation’s top perimeter shooters who earned BIG EAST Rookie of the Year and honorable mention All-America honors in 1999-2000 … averaged 14.0 points and 5.0 rebounds while starting all 32 games as a freshman, when she also drained 84-of-101 three-point shots (.832) … scored 32 points in early-season win over North Carolina, becoming just the second ND freshman ever to eclipse 30 points in a game … set BIG EAST record by making 7-of-7 three-point shots in frantic win over Rutgers, including two in final 25 minutes to force overtime … had 10 points and five assists in 2000 exhibition win over the Premier All-Stars.
Kelly Siemon
(Senior, Forward, Edina, Minnesota)
Veteran post player who heads into her senior season with 95 career games played (64 starts) … owns a career scoring average of 6.8 points per game, plus 5.0 rebounds per game … scored a career-high 23 points vs. Providence as a junior … grabbed a career-best 14 rebounds in 2000 NCAA Tournament victory over George Washington … made 5-of-6 shots from the floor while totaling 14 points and six rebounds in 2000 exhibition win over the Premier All-Stars.
Ruth Riley

Coming off an impressive junior season that included All-America and Academic All-America honors (see center display) … heads into her final season with 95 career games played (88 starts), 14.7 points per game, 7.6 rebounds per game and an ND record 257 career blocks … averaged 16.2 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in 1999-2000 while totaling 85 blocked shots … made all five of her shots while totaling 10 points, eight rebounds and five blocks in 2000 exhibition win over the Premier All-Stars.
Niele Ivey
(Senior, Point Guard, St. Louis, Missouri)
Experienced fifty-year player who again will run the show for the fifth-ranked Irish … heads into her final season with 96 career games played (78 starts), plus 10.4 points per game, 480 assists and 254 steals … has battled back from multiple injuries to emerge as one of the nation’s top point guards … named second team all-BIG EAST in 1999-2000, after averaging 11.2 ppg while totaling 194 assists and 95 steals … had 12 points, seven rebounds, seven assists and four steals in 2000 exhibition win over the Premier All-Stars.
