Notre Dame senior Matt Hedden travels to Williamsburg, Va., on Thursday, Oct. 5, to present the results of his research in physics at the fall meeting of the Division of Nuclear Physics of the American Physical Society.

Hedden’s research presentation is entitled “Investigation of the Isoscalar Giant Dipole Resonance In Lead 208 and Its Implications On Nuclear Incompressibility.” It was selected by the Division of Nuclear Physics review committee for inclusion in the College Undergraduate Experience portion of the American Physical Society program.

Hedden will serve as team co-captain for the 2000-01 season. He currently leads the team academically with a 3.97 cumulative grade point average.
