NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame men’s and women’s swim teams are proud to host two summer camp sessions in 2016. Registration is now open for the four-day instructional camp, hosted by the staff of Fighting Irish Swimming.

Open to boys and girls between the ages of nine and 17, campers will receive instruction from head coach Mike Litzinger and his staff during both sessions. An emphasis on stroke development and one-on-one coaching will be featured at all times.

The first four-day session begins at 10 a.m. on June 19, running until 3:45 p.m. June 22. The second session runs July 10 through the 13. Both sessions will take place on campus at the University of Notre Dame in the Rolfs Aquatic Center.

Day 1 begins with registration and includes lunch at the pool. Swimmers will dive into “Stroke Talk: Freestyle”. Later in the day swimmers will also practice drills and techniques with the stroke of the day. Swimmers will have the opportunity to meet with a Notre Dame Nutritionist, and then meet for dinner.

Day 2 starts with a breakfast at the dining hall, “Stroke Talk: Backstroke”, and working on more drills and techniques. The swimmers will also get the chance to meet with the Notre Dame Strength and Conditioning coach.

Day 3 includes a session with U.S. National Swim Team member and Irish women’s team alum Emma Reaney.

On the final day of camp, swimmers will participate in “Stroke Talk: Butterfly”, and more technical analysis. Campers are dismissed at 3:45 p.m.

For non-boarders, the cost of attendance is $575.00; for boarders – which includes dorm activities and meal options in two campus dining halls – the cost is $650.00
