AS A SOPHOMORE (2016-17):

  • Spent another summer with the U.S. Under-23 National Team in 2017, earning a spot on the team after rallying from third to first place in the final 750 meters of the Women’s Lightweight Single Sculls final qualifying race at Mercer Lake in West Windsor, New Jersey on June 29, 2017 – taking first in 8:13.69.
  • Eventually finished 14th overall in the Women’s Lightweight Single Sculls at the U-23 World Championship in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

  • Competed as a member of the U.S. Under-23 Lightweight Quadruple Sculls team, which competed at the 2016 World Rowing Championships in Rotterdam, Netherlands. 
  • Helped the LW Quad Sculls team finish second in the B final at the World Championships, ending up eighth overall in the competition.

HIGH SCHOOL: 

  • Earned four letters and swimming and three letters in track and field at Wayland High School. 
  • Dominate in the pool during her prep career, finishing as the all-time Wayland High School scoring swimmer. 
  • Helped Wayland High School to the MIAA Division 2 state championship in 2014 and 2015, specializing in the breaststroke and 200 individual medley. 
  • Individual MIAA Division 2 state titles in the 100 breaststroke (2014 and 2015) and 200 IM (2015). 
  • MIAA track and field all-state qualifier in the mile. 
  • Member of teh Shawmut Aquatic Club and Cambridge Boat Club. 

PERSONAL: 

  • Daugher of James and Kelly Pierce, with her older sister Megan. 
  • Sister, Megan, was a member of the Williams College swim team. 
  • Both parents, James and Kelly, were members of the United States Rowing Team.
