AS A SENIOR (2010): One of the most dominant and adorned players in Irish history … finished her four years as the program[apos]s career leader in home runs (50), RBI (174), slugging pct. (.654) and putouts (1,544) … third in total bases (394), fourth in fielding pct. (.991), fifth in doubles (45), sixth in walks (74) … set or tied single-season records during her final campaign with 17 home runs (28th nationally), 17 doubles and an .801 slugging pct. (20th nationally) … cemented her name on the single-season charts as a senior with a .392 batting avg. (11th), 46 runs scored (8th), 62 RBI (3rd), 25 walks (11th) and a .472 on-base pct. Austin (Feb. 21) … two RBI against Virginia (Feb. 26) … two hits again George Washington (Feb. 27) … scored twice and cranked a home run against Virginia (Feb. 27) to tie the program[apos]s all-time record, the 36th of her career … the home run came on the same day that her sister, Kathryn, recorded her first career hit … Kathryn[apos]s shot was also a solo home run, as the Lux sisters became the first siblings to record hits in the same day for the Irish … named BIG EAST Player of the Week (March 8) after hitting .556 with two home runs, a double and five RBI at the UC Riverside Aten Construction Tournament (March 6-7) … it was at the tournament that she set the program[apos]s home run record with a deep shot to right field against East Tennessee State (March 6) … also became the program[apos]s career leader in putouts (1,351) with a career-high 18 against the Lady Bucs … homered in the next game against UC Riverside (March 7), a two-run dinger, two cap off a career-best nine-game hitting streak … it was also her ninth straight game with at least one RBI … five RBI and a grand slam highlighted a 2-for-3 day at Western Michigan (March 18) to begin a seven-game hitting streak … back-to-back home runs came against Eastern Michigan (March 23) and Toledo (March 24), scoring four runs and accounting for five RBI in the pair of doubleheaders to open up the home portion of the schedule … 2-for-4 with three runs, four RBI and a home run at Seton Hall (March 27) … looped a two-run home run over the second-level fence in rightfield at Melissa Cook Stadium against Rutgers (April 3), one of three two-run homers for the Irish on the day … 3-for-3 with three runs scored against USF (April 10) … hit two home runs in game two with Georgetown (April 14), the third game of her career with two home runs (first in 2010) … her second home run against the Hoyas was her first game-winning yank on the week in the 3-2 Irish victory … also jacked a three-run screamer to give Notre Dame a 3-1 win at Louisville (April 18) … for the week (April 14-18), three of her five hits in BIG EAST play went for home runs (including a pair of game-winners), as the other two were doubles … the effort landed her on the BIG EAST Honor Roll (April 19) … 5-for-8 with five RBI and three runs scored in three games with Villanova (April 24-25), including two doubles and a homer … her final regular season game at Melissa Cook Stadium nearly yielded the same results as her final regular season game at Ivy Field in 2008 … went 4-for-4 with two home runs – including a grand slam – and tied a program record with seven RBI in an 11-3 rout of Wisconsin (April 29) in five innings … with the two round trippers against the Badgers, she became the program[apos]s single-season leader with 16 home runs, breaking the record of 15 she set in 2008 and 2009 … the seven RBI tied a record she shares with Meagan Ruthrauff … she last accounted for seven RBI in a five-inning win over Eastern Michigan in 2008, the final Irish softball game before closing the door on their former facility, Ivy Field … posted a 1.444 slugging pct. on the week to find a spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll (May 3) … 2-for-3 with four RBI including a home run in the opening game of the BIG EAST Tournament against Providence (May 13) … three of her two hits against Illinois State (May 21) in the NCAA Tournament were good for doubles. AS A JUNIOR (2009): Became the program[apos]s 17th NFCA All-American and the first since 2006 … over the course of the 60-game season, started for the Irish in 59 of those contests … went on to amass a .329 batting average while also tallying 15 home runs, a number that ties the program[apos]s single-season mark for home runs that she herself set in 2008 … her 33 career home runs has already moved her into second place on the career list behind only Jarrah Myers, who totaled 36 from 1999-2002 … placed her name near the top of the list in RBI categories for the Irish both on the season and in her career … her 51 RBI place her third all-time in a single campaign, behind only Melanie Alkire (64) and Meagan Ruthrauff (54), while her 112 career RBI has moved her into 11th place on the career leaderboard … one of five Irish players selected to the NFCA All-Region team … received first-team all-BIG EAST accolades … selected to the BIG EAST Championship all-tournament team for her work at first base during the tournament … also received CoSIDA Academic All-District honors with a 3.42 grade point average as an accounting major … led the Irish in slugging percentage (.695) [Notre Dame record], runs scored (40), RBI (51), home runs (15) [Notre Dame record], total bases (114), hit by pitch (7), fielding percentage (.998), chances (461), putouts (443) and fielding double plays (14) … program[apos]s leader in career fielding percentage (.995) … second in BIG EAST play with .829 slugging percentage, eight home runs and 58 total bases … tied for second with 20 runs scored … third with 22 RBI … fifth in BIG EAST play with .386 batting average, .506 on-base percentage and 27 hits … ranked 44th nationally with 0.25 home runs/game, 50th with 0.85 RBI/game, 54th with a .695 slugging percentage and 27th with 15 home runs … joined Dani Miller and Linda Kohan to comprise the first trio of Irish teammates to hit at least 10+ home runs in the same season … on the receiving end of a game-ending triple play versus UC Santa Barbara (March 7), the first in program history … did not hit a home run until the 15th game of the season, but saved the first during a 2-for-2 showing in an Irish win over No. 9 Oklahoma (March 12) … scored twice and drove in three scores against the Sooners … also hit a three-run homer one game later against Pacific (March 13) … posted five RBI on three hits and two doubles with a home run during the first of two games with Toledo (March 18) … added two more hits and a solo blast against the Rockets on the backside of the twinbill to finish with 13 total bases which yielded a single-day slugging average of 2.167 … hit a three-run home run at Georgetown (March 28) … went on a 12-game hitting streak which included four multi-hit efforts, 19 RBI and seven home runs from March 25-April 8 … had five hits across the two games versus DePaul (April 8) with a pair of home runs – including a game-one shot that cleared the right field fence and landed on Twyckenham Drive, a 334-foot shot that would have sailed the right field fence at Frank Eck Stadium, the home of Notre Dame[apos]s baseball team … joined Kohan in the home run department in each of the two games against the Blue Demons … smashed two home runs against Valparaiso (April 9) for five RBI while scoring three times … one of four Irish players to homer at Connecticut (April 11) … 1-for-2 with three RBI and a home run at Providence (April 30) … had 31 putouts and two assists at first base throughout three games at the BIG EAST Championship, including the starting leg of a game-ending double play in the final matchup versus DePaul (May 9) … committed just one error in 461 chances … recorded at least three RBI in eight games … 14 multi-hit games … 13 multi-RBI games … member of Notre Dame[apos]s Rosenthal Leadership Academy. AS A SOPHOMORE (2008): Established herself as one of the most prolific home run hitters in Irish history through only two years with the program … set a school record with 14 homers during the regular season and tied the BIG EAST Conference[apos]s second-place mark with eight bombs in league play … Notre Dame led the BIG EAST with 39 overall homers during the regular season, 22 of which were hit in conference games … ninth in school history with 18 career home runs … her slugging percentage of .661 was fifth-best while her 17 runs scored tied for first in the league … was on the receiving end of eight double plays at first base and her 19 putouts against Connecticut on April 29 was the highest total recorded by any conference player in any game throughout the season … homered six times in Notre Dame[apos]s last 10 outings of the regular season …was batting .182 heading into an April 9 doubleheader against Eastern Michigan … two games and a few hits later, that average was bumped up to .223, aided especially by a record-setting performance at the plate … she hit for the cycle over the two-game swing with the Eagles, knocking a homer, double and a single in game one … she settled for a triple and one single in the second contest … that effort tied a school record with seven RBI to open the day, matching Meagan Ruthrauff[apos]s total from a 2006 conference game at Pittsburgh, which was played exactly two years prior … though Lux accomplished the feat in an abbreviated five-inning game, seeing the plate only three times … Ruthrauff had four hits in her five at-bats, including three home runs … took part in the team[apos]s record-setting three home runs in a single inning against Wisconsin (April 16) with a two-run homer … duplicated the feat with Linda Kohan and Katie Fleury exactly one month later in the NCAA Regional contest with Kent State (May 16) … filled the stat line with one hit, one run and one RBI at the Kajikawa Classic against Utah (Feb. 15) … started that contest against the Utes at first, registering 11 putouts … worked the count to earn a walk with the bases loaded against Western Kentucky (Feb. 16) to push in a run … had a hit – her first double of the season – and scored once against California (Feb. 17), starting a three-game hitting streak that ended with a double in a 1-for-2 effort against North Florida (Feb. 22) … drove in one run against Gardner-Webb (Feb. 22) with a single, while also laying down a sacrifice in the contest … had one hit, was walked, and wore a pitch for a free bag at UC Riverside (March 4) … had two of Notre Dame[apos]s four hits against UCLA (March 7), which included a double, and scored once versus the Bruins … laced a triple against Long Beach State (March 4) … went 2-for-3 against Virginia Tech (March 8) and its All-American pitcher Angela Tichner … in the sixth inning against the Hokies, she mashed a two-out double that dropped into leftfield which scored a pair of runs to give Notre Dame a 2-1 comeback win … her next multi-RBI effort came against Towson (March 14) when her first homer of the year was belted long and hard to score two Irish runs … she followed that performance with a four-RBI effort at Charleston Southern (March 14), as one of her two hits went into the books as her second dinger of the day … had one hit, one RBI, and scored once at Charleston Southern less than 24 hours later … had two hits in two at-bats during the home opener versus IUPUI (March 26) … her second-inning solo homer cleared the scoreboard at Ivy Field … was hit by a pitch at DePaul (March 30) … went 3-for-3 with three RBI and a homer at Louisville (April 19) … homered for the second time in as many days with a two-run jack at South Florida (April 20) … both of her hits at Purdue (April 22) were doubles … drew two walks against Providence (April 26) without recording a hit but managed to come around and score twice in the contest … homered in game one and game two against Connecticut (April 27) while driving in three runs during the doubleheader … hit a solo homer at Pittsburgh (May 2) … turned in the first two-homer game of her career at Syracuse (May 4) with a pair of launches … had four hits and two RBI during NCAA Tournament games (May 16-17) … recorded at least 10 putouts in 24 contests with only three errors … was hit by 10 pitches … laid down three sacrifices … finished with a .277 batting average, 46 hits, 42 RBI, eight doubles and two triples … started and played in 59 games. AS A FRESHMAN (2007): Took part in 45 games, starting 41 of those contests … knocked 26 hits in her 106 at-bats … 12 of those hits went for extra-bases, including nine doubles and a team-high three homers … drove in a total of 19 runs over the course of the season … started the first game of her career against Alabama-Birmingham (Feb. 17) … started at first base in each of the team[apos]s five games at the Judi Garman Classic (March 15-17) … picked up the first hit of her career against Fresno State (March 16) … 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI against Louisiana-Lafayette (March 16) … 1-for-2 with a double against Texas (March 17) … had a double, one run scored and a walk against IUPUI (March 22) … went 2-for-2 with two walks and three RBI in the doubleheader against St. John[apos]s (March 24) … drove in the game-winning run in the second game against St. John[apos]s … had a hit and drove in the game-winning run in the first of two games with Seton Hall (March 25) … went 1-for-2 with a double and a sacrifice against Toledo (March 29) … wrapped up a doubleheader with Syracuse (April 1) with a 4-for-7 day along with one double, run scored, five RBI and her first career homer … in the second game of the twinbill, she drove in a career-high four runs … laid down a sacrifice against Eastern Michigan (April 10) … had a hit in each of the two games against Providence (April 14) including her sixth double of the season … walked twice and scored a run in the doubleheader with Western Michigan (April 17) … drove in a run with a fielder[apos]s choice against Ball State (April 18) … went 2-for-3 with a double, run scored and one RBI against Valparaiso (April 19) … had a single, one RBI and drew a walk over the two-game stretch against Louisville (April 21) … had a hit against South Florida (April 22) … hit her second home run of the season in the first game of an April 29 doubleheader with DePaul … posted a 2-for-3 afternoon with two RBI and a double against Loyola-Chicago (May 1) … had a hit and a sacrifice during the meeting with Northwestern (April 24) … laid down a sacrifice against Connecticut (May 10) during the BIG EAST Tournament … hit her third home run of the season – which proved to be the game-winner – in the semifinals of the BIG EAST Tournament to help knock off DePaul (May 11) … hit a double in the championship game of the BIG EAST Tournament against Louisville (May 12) … drew a walk and laid down a hit against Illinois State (May 18) in the NCAA Tournament … scored a run and was hit by a pitch twice in an elimination game against Illinois State (May 19).
