2018-19

  • Logged 1,110 minutes during his freshman season, becoming the third true freshman in program history to participate in over 1,000 minutes (Chris Thomas, 1,255 and Jerian Grant, 1,232).
  • Finished the season with 131 assists, the seventh-best total for a freshman in program history.
  • Turned in another solid performance at Louisville (3/3/19) with 16 points, six assists and two steals in 39 minutes.
  • Posted perhaps his best all-around game of this rookie season at Florida State (2/25/19) with 17 points, career-best seven rebounds, three assists and a steal in 39 minutes.
  • Just missed first career double-double with 11 points and a career-best nine assists against Wake Forest (2/19/19).
  • Played the entire game at No. 4/4 Virginia (12/16/19) and handled the ball with poise, committing just one turnover against one of the nation’s best defenses, finished the game with seven points, two assists and three rebounds.
  • Returned to double figures and responded to the challenge of No. 2/2 Duke with 13 points, four assists and three rebounds – connection on three three-point field goals for the fourth time in 2018-19.
  • Followed up the BC game with a career-best 18 points in his first game in Chapel Hill, hitting four three-point field goals for the second consecutive game in a six-point loss at No. 13/15 North Carolina.
  • Was planning to come off the bench against Boston College (1/12/19) but was thrust back into the lineup with the loss of T.J. Gibbs to illness in warm ups. Responded with the best game of his young career, scoring 16 points with four three-point field goals while playing 39 minutes in the victory over the Eagles.
  • Provided the game-winning points against Boston College, driving to the basket, getting fouled and sinking both free throws with 2.8 seconds remaining, putting the Irish ahead 67-66 in an eventual 69-66 victory.
  • Joined Nate Laszewski and Dane Goodwin in the starting lineup against Boston College (1/12/19) – becoming the first trio of true freshmen to start for the Irish since the 1999-2000 season and first trio of true freshman to win in a starting role  since LaPhonso Ellis, Elmer Bennett and Keith Tower against Portland on January 9, 1989.
  • Reached double figures in scoring (10) for the fourth-straight game against Illinois (11/27/18) – all four games marking his first four career starts.
  • Carried the Irish through a hard-fought first half with Duquesne, scoring 10 of his career-high 14 points in the first 20 minutes. Also hit a career-best three three-point field goals vs. the Dukes.
  • Earned first career start against William & Mary (11/17/18) and responded with 11 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal. Brought the crowd to its feet with a memorable dunk on a drive down the baseline late in the game.
  • Made his Notre Dame debut against UIC (11/6/18), playing 18 minutes off the bench. Keyed a first-half run for the Irish with a corner three-point field goal (first of his career), then an immediate steal in the back court to set up a free throw situation for the Irish.

HIGH SCHOOL

  • Ranked No. 94 on the final Class of 2018 ESPN player rankings.
  • Suffered a knee injury in the summer of 2017 and was sidelined for the entirety of his senior season at Gonzaga.
  • Was among the top-40 rated recruits in the nation before the knee injury.
  • Led Gonzaga through two Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) championships (2016 and 2017) and is a two-time WCAC first-team all-conference selection.
  • Averaged 13.9 points per game and led Gonzaga to the 2017 WCAC championship with a 32-5 record in 2016-17.
  • A three-time Under Armour All-American selection.
  • Twice invited to the Steph Curry Under Armour skills camp.
  • Teammates at Gonzaga with Miami (FL) sophomore guard Chris Lykes.
  • Member of the DC Premier on the AAU circuit.

PERSONAL

  • Son of Linda Henson-Hubb and Prentiss Hubb, along with brother Carlos and sister Tiffany.
  • Enrolled in the First Year of Studies.
