  • One of his highlight plays came when he forced a fumble in the second half of the Bedlam win over No. 10 Oklahoma, catching Caleb Williams from behind to dislodge the ball and help force a turnover for Cowboys.

PREP AND PERSONAL

  • Played for coach Tobi Kilgore at Karns.
  • Saw action on both sides of the ball and excelled as a receiver, racking up 1,086 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns during his junior season.
  • Named to the 2017 Tennessee High School Coaches Class 5A All-State team.
  • Was the first player in Karns history to surpass 1,000 receiving yards, per Knox News.
  • Broke his own school record with 1,279 receiving yards and 18 touchdowns on 80 receptions as a senior in 2018.
  • As a defender, he logged 92 total tackles, including 67 solo stops, as a senior.
  • Added seven pass break ups, two forced fumbles, one interception and one blocked field goal during his final high school campaign.
  • Named all-district, all-region and team MVP.
  • Finished his high school career with 155 total tackles, 114 of which were solo stops, 16 passes defended and three interceptions.
