AS A JUNIOR (2022)

  • Played in all 13 games of the season, and was a key contributor on one of the nation’s top special teams units. Finished the year with 11 total tackles, 6.5 for loss and 4.5 sacks. His sack total was good for second-most on the team, trailing only consensus All-American Isaiah Foskey’s 11.
  • SYRACUSE (10/29): Recorded his first career sack in the third quarter, dropping the Orange quarterback for a three-yard loss. Added another sack to finish with two in the contest, dropping Syracuse for a total loss of 10 yards.
  • CLEMSON (11/5): Blocked a punt in the first quarter, Notre Dame’s sixth of the season, that Prince Kollie returned for a touchdown to put the Irish up in the first quarter.
  • Navy (11/12): Added a solo tackle in the win.
  • Boston College (11/19): Finished with three tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. Added a half sack for a loss of four yards.
  • USC (11/26): Added a solo tackle, a TFL for a loss of three yards.
  • South Carolina – TaxSlayer Gator Bowl (12/30): Added solo two tackles, both sacks in the victory. Added two more quarterback hurries as the Irish defense held South Carolina to just one offensive score over the final 30 minutes of game action.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2021)

  • Played in 11 games for the Irish this season and made first career start against Wisconsin in Chicago; Finished season with 18 tackles (11 solo), including 3 TFLs and the first two sacks of his career
  • WISCONSIN (9/25): Botelho made his first start and collected a tackle in the win over the Badgers.
  • NORTH CAROLINA (10/30): Recorded his first sack of his career in the fourth quarter as he finished with two tackles (both solo), one for loss
  • NAVY (11/6): Earned his second sack in as many weeks, resulting in a seven-yard loss in the first quarter
  • VIRGINIA (11/13): Set a career-high with four tackles (one solo) in a win over the Cavaliers
  • GEORGIA TECH (11/20): Matched a career-best with four tackles (two solo), including one TFL which resulted in a loss of three yards
  • STANFORD (11/27): Reached the four tackle mark for the third consecutive week

AS A FRESHMAN (2020)

  • Played in 11 of 12 games for the Irish this season; Made collegiate debut against South Florida and returned a blocked punt for a TD; Finished season with four tackles (two solo)
  • SOUTH FLORIDA (9/19): Posted one tackle and returned a blocked punt (Osita Ekwonu block) for a touchdown in the 52-0 win; Marked the only punt return TD in the ACC that week and just the second at that point in the season; Became the only player in the FBS that week to post a punt return touchdown; Provided notable pressure on another South Florida punt, forcing a rushed punt that traveled just one yard and gave the Irish possession at the South Florida 25-yard line
  • FLORIDA STATE (10/10): Posted one tackle in the win
  • LOUISVILLE (10/17): Posted one tackle in the 12-7 win
  • CLEMSON (11/7): Marked a tackle in the 47-40 2OT win over the then-No. 1 Tigers
  • Saw action in wins against Pitt (10/24), Georgia Tech (10/31), Boston College (11/14) and Syracuse (12/5)
