JUNIOR SEASON (2022)

  • Took over as the starting quarterback in week three, starting the final 10 games of the regular season. Played in 11 games overall. Ended the year going 164-for-254, throwing for 22 touchdowns against just six interceptions. Averaged 183.7 yards per game for a season total of 2,021 through the air. Added 108 yards rushing with two touchdowns.
  • MARSHALL (9/10): Made his season debut after the starting quarterback went down with an injury. Finished 3-for-6 for 20 yards. Threw a touchdown pass to Michael Mayer in the fourth quarter
  • CALIFORNIA (9/17): Earned his first at quarterback.Threw a then career-highs in completions, attempts, yards, touchdown passes, rushing attempts. Finished 17-for-23 for 150 yards and two touchdowns
  • NORTH CAROLINA (9/24): Threw for a new career-high in yards, with career-bests in completions (24), attempts (34) and touchdowns (3). Most touchdown passes in a quarterback’s first road start since Ron Powlus tossed four against Northwestern at Soldier field in 1994. Picked up 20 yards on the ground, including a key first down in the fourth quarter
  • BYU (10/8): Led Notre Dame to its first victory over a ranked opponent in its second try of the season. Finished 22-for-28 with three touchdowns. Ran for a big first down late in the fourth quarter to help ice the victory.
  • STANFORD (10/15): Finished with a season-high 23 yards rushing on six attempts. Completed 13 of 27 passes for 151 yards and a score.
  • UNLV (10/22): Went 14-for-28 through the air for 205 yards and two scores. Added three carries for 30 yards.
  • SYRACUSE (10/29): Threw for nine completions and 116 yards. Threw a touchdown pass to Jayden Thomas in the second half. Carried four times for 15 yards.
  • CLEMSON (11/5): Scored his first rushing touchdown of his career, a five yard bootleg off the left side to go up 14-0 entering halftime. Completed nine passes for 85 yards and hit Michael Mayer on a 17-yard score to help put the game away in the fourth quarter.
  • NAVY (11/12): Recorded five total touchdowns in the 35-32 victory over Navy. Threw for a career-best four touchdowns in the first half. The four first half touchdowns are the most in the first 30 minutes of a contest since Jack Coan threw four in the 2022 Fiesta Bowl. Added a rushing touchdown on an 11-yard scramble. Finished the contest 17-for-21 for 269 yards, second most yardage in a contest to this point int he season.
  • BOSTON COLLEGE (11/19): Finished 13-for-25 for 156 yards and a touchdown in one of the coldest games in Notre Dame Stadium history. Found six different receivers in the victory with Chris Tyree, Jayden Thomas, Matt Salerno and Michael Mayer catching multiple passes.
  • USC (11/26): Completed his first 15 passes of the contest, en route to going 23-for-26. The .884 completion percentage is second in a single game in program history, trailing just Steve Buerlein’s .909 (10-for-11) in 1984. Was a perfect-8-for-8 in the first half. Set a new career record with 318 yards passing, his first 300-yard passing game of his career. Hit seven different receivers in the win, six with multiple catches. Found Michael Mayer for two touchdowns in the loss.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2021)

  • Appeared in two games under center for the Irish; threw for two touchdown passes and set single game career marks for passing yards (143), completions (nine) and passing attempts (22); finished with 218 total yards on 36 snaps
  • WISCONSIN (9/25): Completed a career-long 17-yard pass in the win over the Badgers; Made his first career touchdown pass with a 16-yard long pass and finished the game with 81 yards on six completions and a touchdown, which were all career-best numbers
  • CINCINNATI (10/2): Tossed a career-long 32-yard touchdown pass to Braden Lenzy in the fourth quarter; Finished with nine completions for 143 yards, both career-best numbers; rushed four times and set a career-long carry with 11 yards

FRESHMAN SEASON (2020)

  • Played in four games for the Irish during his rookie season; Made first completion and carry of career against South Florida
  • SOUTH FLORIDA (9/19): Saw his first-career game action, completing a pass for five yards and rushing once for four yards, in the 52-0 win
  • ALABAMA – Rose Bowl (1/1): Saw action at quarterback, completing one pass for seven yards, in the CFP Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game
  • Saw game action in wins over Pitt (10/24) and Syracuse (12/5)
