Walk-on member of the women[apos]s sabre squad who has shown the ability to battle with the toughest opponents … looking to stabilize her match results with greater bouting focus … combined for a 32-4 record in first two seasons with the Irish …her 25-4 record as a junior included 13-1 at the ND Duals and 12-3 at the Ohio State Duals … competed at the Penn State Open in the fall of 2006, posting wins in the consolation bracket over Drew[apos]s Grace Dippo (15-6) and UNC[apos]s Helen Marino (15-8) before losing to PSU[apos]s Lilly Matusiak (8-15).

PREP & PERSONAL: Started fencing as a junior in high school, at the Fencing 2000 Club (which later merged with the Chicago Athletic Club) … born July 2, 1985, in El Paso, Texas … daughter of Raymond and Therese Housing … her sister Kirsten Housing was a three-year epeeist with the Notre Dame fencing team (2000-02) and earned a monogram in her senior season … her father Ray Housing is a 1974 Notre Dame graduate … full name is Erin Leigh Housing … a marketing major, enrolled in the Mendoza College of Business.
