AT NOTRE DAME (2012-PRESENT):  Two-year monogram winner … resilient pitcher, who has overcome three severe injuries since senior year of high school to pitch at collegiate baseball’s highest level … missed senior year in high school due to a knee injury … missed the 2013 campaign with a right shoulder injury … injured left knee in final start of 2014 … shown great persistence and determination to be able to bounce back from injuries … throws strikes and challenges batters … induces a lot of ground balls … had outstanding second half of 2014, finishing the year second in the ACC in ERA (1.87).     Â

HONORS & AWARDS: ACC Academic Honor Roll (2014).

JUNIOR SEASON (2014): Shook off some early-season rust to have spectacular junior campaign … had a 13.50 ERA (5 ER) in first 3.1 innings of work (two appearances) to open season before registering a 1.16 ERA (7 ER) in 54.1 innings (12 appearances) over the remainder of the year … made 14 appearances on the mound for the Irish including nine starts … went 3-1 with a team-best 1.87 ERA … ERA was second best in the ACC … allowed 46 hits in 57.2 innings of work as opponents batted .217 … struck out 31 and walked 16 … averaged 4.84 strikeouts and 2.50 walks per nine innings … went 1-0 in ACC games with a 1.74 ERA … held left-handed hitters to a .211 batting average and right-handed hitters to a .222 average … opponents hit just .171 when the bases were empty … went at least five innings in seven out of nine starts … earned first start of the season at No. 24 Florida Atlantic (Feb. 16) striking out three batters in 2.1 innings of work … tossed 5.2 innings of relief, allowing just one hit and striking out five vs. Virginia Tech (March 22) … had four quality starts in a row from April 16 – May 11 … went seven innings against Central Michigan (April 23), striking out a season-high eight batters … earned a win against No. 22 Clemson (May 11), throwing eight innings and allowing three runs (two earned) on only three hits … in season finale against Pittsburgh (May 17), went 1.2 innings and allowed one run on two hits before suffering a right knee injury that ended his season … named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll … earned a monogram.

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2013):  Did not make any appearances during his sophomore season with the Irish as he recovered from preseason right shoulder surgery.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2012):  Made two appearances out of the Irish bullpen … went 0-0 with a 12.00 earned run average in two appearances (both in relief) … allowed four hits in 3.0 innings of work as opponents batted .308 … struck out two and walked one … averaged 6.00 strikeouts and 3.00 walks per nine innings … posted a 2.00 strikeout-to-walk ratio … tossed a season-high 2.0 scoreless innings in the loss at Michigan State (April 10) … retired all six Spartans he faced and struck out two … roughed up for four earned runs on four hits in 1.0 inning of work at Georgetown (April 21) … earned a monogram.
