Notre Dame Women’s Tennis Beats Purdue 5-4

NOTRE DAME, Ind. — Notre Dame’s 14th-ranked women’s tennis team improved to 10-7 on the season with a 5-4 win over Purdue on Saturday at the Eck Tennis Pavilion. The Irish jumped out to a 4-2 lead after singles and used an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles to clinch the win.

Jennifer Hall, Kelly Zalinski, Kelley Olson and Darcie Sweet each posted singles wins for Notre Dame. Zalinski and Marisa Velasco defeated Purdue’s Jennifer Embry and Shannon Tahany at No. 2 doubles in the deciding match.

The Irish return to the court when they travel to Tennessee for a Monday, March 31, match against the Lady Vols.
