First Olympian in Notre Dame swimming history … finished 33rd in 400 IM and 41st in 200 IM in Athens (2004) … in the latter race, turned in the fastest reaction time (0.59) of any non-backstroker among male and female swimmers competing in the Olympics … Cayman Islands record holder in long-course meters in all backstroke, breaststroke, and IM events, as well as the 100 fly … became Cayman Islands’ first-ever Olympic qualifier … broke his own Cayman Islands national records in both races and improved upon seeding in both events … failed to make the Olympics in his top event (100 back) but then qualified in the 200 IM (at the 2003 Caribbean Championships in Jamaica).
