Garrity Helps Irish Weather Hurricanes

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Pat Garrity poured in a game-high 27 points as NotreDame raced to a 69-60 victory over Miami, Fla. at the Joyce Center.

Antoni Wyche added 17 points, while Admore White chipped in with 11 points andseven assists for the Irish, who raised their record to 14-11 overall and 8-9 inthe Big East 6.

Mario Bland led the Hurricanes (15-10, 9-8 Big East 7) with 15 points and eightrebounds. Clifton Clark added 11 points for Miami, which led 27-26 at halftime.

Notre Dame shot 41 percent from the field, but was just 4-for-21 (.190) fromthree-point range.

Miami, which shot 42 percent from the floor, connected on just 14-of-23 (.609)free throw attempts in the game.
