No. 23 Notre Dame travels to DePaul Thursday for a pair of BIG EAST Conference softball battles. The top two teams in the league standings will square off at 3:00 p.m. (ET) in Chicago.

Notre Dame (35-7 overall, 12-1 BIG EAST) last met DePaul (24-14, 8-3) in the finals of the 2009 BIG EAST Championship in Louisville, Ky. Notre Dame downed the Blue Demons, 1-0, for the league title.

This will be the second time in less than one week that Notre Dame will tussle with one of the league’s best squads. The Irish took two of three games from Louisville last weekend, as the Cardinals were then sitting in the conference’s passenger seat.

The Irish will finish the league slate with a three-game home series versus Villanova (April 24-25) and a trio of battles at St. John’s (May 8-9).
