The University of Notre Dame softball team will begin its 2004 fall season schedule this weekend at the Chicagoland Classic in Orland Park, Ill.
The Irish will face Illinois, DePaul, Northern Iowa and Northern Illinois during the two-day tournament. Notre Dame will also host a six games on Sunday, Oct. 3, when Western Michigan and Wayne State visit Ivy Field for round robin competition.
All games played during the fall are exhibition contests and do not affect the team’s record or statistics during the upcoming 2005 season.
