Single-Game Women's Basketball Tickets Go On Sale October 23

Oct. 18, 2007

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Individual game tickets for the 2007-08 Notre Dame women’s basketball season will go on sale next Tuesday, Oct. 23, it was announced Thursday by the school’s Athletics Ticket Office. The Irish will play one of the strongest home schedules in program history this year, a 16-game regular-season slate (plus two exhibitions) at the Joyce Center that includes matchups with defending national champion Tennessee (Jan. 5), reigning BIG EAST Conference regular-season champion Connecticut (Jan. 27) and regional rival Michigan (Dec. 2).

Single-game tickets for all Notre Dame women’s basketball contests (not including the semifinals and finals of the Preseason WNIT) will be available at a cost of $8 for adults and $5 for both youths (21-and-under) and seniors (55-and-older). Tickets for semifinals and finals of the Preseason WNIT are priced at $10 (adults) and $8 (youths/seniors). Students at Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s College and Holy Cross College with a valid student identification card will be admitted free (via Joyce Center Gate 1) to all Irish women’s basketball games, except for all Preseason WNIT contests. Single-game group tickets (for parties of 20-or-more) will go on sale for $3 per ticket, excluding the Tennessee, Connecticut and Preseason WNIT games — and other restrictions apply.

Notre Dame women’s basketball tickets can be purchased in three different ways:

  • In person — visit the Irish Athletics Ticket Office windows, located on the second floor of the Joyce Center (enter via Gate 1), on weekdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. (ET).
  • Charge by phone — call the Notre Dame Athletics Ticket Office at (574) 631-7356 during normal business hours and order with your VISA, MasterCard or American Express credit card ($7 surcharge applies).
  • Order on-line — click here and order your tickets on-line with VISA, MasterCard or American Express. The Irish women’s basketball ticket brochure also can be downloaded as a PDF document and may be returned to the University via U.S. mail (see brochure for directions).

In addition, season tickets for the ’07-08 Notre Dame women’s basketball campaign remain on sale and may be purchased at $66 for individuals and $54 for full-time Notre Dame faculty/staff. The Irish women’s basketball Fan Pack (a group of four tickets) are on sale for $194 each, or $162 for University faculty/staff, with additional tickets in the Fan Pack available for $37 each.

For the first time, Notre Dame also is offering a special “Triple Threat Pack,” giving fans the option to buy tickets for the Tennessee and Connecticut games, as well as a third non-Preseason WNIT game of their choice, for only $15 per pack. The new three-game ticket plan already has been a popular purchase for many Irish women’s basketball fans, with nearly 1,000 packs sold since they debuted on Oct. 9.

What’s more, Notre Dame supporters can get a jump on buying tickets for the 2008 BIG EAST Championship presented by Aeropostale, slated for March 8-11 at the Hartford (Conn.) Civic Center. The Irish Athletics Ticket Office currently is selling six-session ticket packages (covering all 11 games of the tournament) at a cost of $99 per package.

Notre Dame returns eight letterwinners, including three starters, from last year’s squad that posted a 20-12 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The Irish will tip off their 2007-08 season Nov. 1 with a 7 p.m. (ET) exhibition game against Southern Indiana at the Joyce Center. Following a second preseason contest on Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. (ET) against Hillsdale (Mich.), Notre Dame will open its 31st season of intercollegiate competition Nov. 9 in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT with a 9 p.m. (ET) game against Miami (Ohio) at the Joyce Center.
