Second Annual Tackle The Arts Scheduled For Saturday

Notre Dame, Ind. – The Notre Dame football team and the St. Joseph County Public Library will team up for the second annual Tackle the Arts program on Saturday, July 19, on the second and third floors at the downtown branch of the St. Joseph Public Library. The event, which is open to the public, runs from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m and admission is free with a donation at the door of a canned or non-perishable food item. All donations will go the to the Northern Indiana Food Bank.

The day will feature four different art areas which children and their parents can participate in during the two-hour session including reading, creative writing and poetry, art and drawing and music. Selected members of the Notre Dame football team will be staffing each station, as well as displaying some of their off-the-field talents.

There will also be an autograph station for kids to obtain the signatures of their favorite Irish football players.

Players scheduled to attend on Saturday include: Garron Bible, Lionel Bolen, Carlos Campbell, Darrell Campbell, Jake Carney, Derek Curry, Vontez Duff, Anthony Fasano, Marcus Freeman, Chris Frome, Mike Goolsby, Cedric Hilliard, Carlyle Holiday, Brandon Hoyte, Preston Jackson, Travis Leitko, Corey Mays, Rhema McKnight, Darin Mitchell, Bob Morton, Chris Olsen, Billy Palmer, Matt Shelton, Dan Stevenson, Maurice Stovall, Justin Tuck, Courtney Watson and Marcus Wilson.
