Rowing Honors Athletic Department By Launching '2020 Vision'

The University of Notre Dame rowing team unveiled its newest racing shell on Friday, April 2, 2021, and honored the entire Notre Dame Athletics Department at the same time. The 2020 Hudson USP, named ‘2020 Vision’ by the 2021 rowing senior class, bears the name of every athletics department employee at Notre Dame as of January 2021.

“We wanted to honor the hard work, determination and support we have received from the entire athletic department throughout the challenge of the past year,” head rowing coach Martin Stone said.

“No one on our team is any more important than one of the names on the side of the boat. They have all played a role in our ability to return to competition and they will race with us the rest of the season.”

The boat will be utilized by the First Varsity Eight the rest of the season as the team prepares for the ACC Championships and to earn a spot in the NCAA Championship.

The first competition in which ‘2020 Vision’ will be entered is the Big Ten Invitational which will take place April 17-18 on Harsha Lake in Ohio.
