AS A SOPHOMORE: Ran his consecutive games played streak to 77 by playing in all 38 games for the Irish in 2004-05 … scored four goals and added five assists for nine points … two of four goals were game winners and one came short-handed … had seven minor penalties for 14 minutes … fired 55 shots on goal during the season … first goal was a big one as it came short-handed with 15 seconds left in 3-2 win over No. 1 ranked Boston College on Oct. 22 … with ND’s Tim Wallace whistled off for charging at 19:11, Wes O’Neill broke up a pass in front of the Irish goal and found Jindra streaking through the neutral zone … Jindra took the pass and was able to beat Matti Kaltianen with a wrist shot from the bottom of the left wing circle over his glove to the far side for the winner … after going five games without a point, recorded the second multiple-point game of his career with another game-winning goal and an assist in a 3-2 win at Western Michigan … made it a two-game point streak with an assist in 3-2 win at Alaska Fairbanks on Nov. 26 … recorded an assist on a Michael Bartlett power-play goal in 6-1 loss at Michigan … scored third goal of the year in 2-1 home win over Rensselaer on Jan. 2 … had just two assists over the next 14 games (vs. Ferris State and Michigan) before scoring his final goal of the year in a 6-3 loss at Michigan on Feb. 19.

AS A FRESHMAN: Played in all 39 games for the Irish, scoring four goals with six assists for 10 points … had two short-handed goals and two game winners … recorded eight penalties for 16 minutes … took 52 shots on goal for a .077 shooting percentage … was -10 on the season … picked up first collegiate assist in 2-0 shutout of Nebraska-Omaha on Oct. 31 … had first multiple-point game (1g, 1a) in 5-3 win over Lake Superior (Nov. 21) … took shot off a faceoff, then beat goaltender to the loose puck to flip rebound in at 2:51 of third period … had just two assists over the next 18 games before finishing the year strong with three goals and two assists … scored short-handed game winner in 4-2 win over Ferris State (Feb. 14) … scored goal after clearing a pass out of the Irish end off the glass at center and down the ice … Bulldog goaltender Mike Brown headed behind his net to stop the puck but it deflected off a stanchion near the left wing faceoff circle and towards the net … the puck crossed the goal line before Brown could get back to it and Jindra had the game winner … scored one goal and had an assist in weekend sweep of Michigan … scored second short-handed goal of the year in first game of CCHA playoffs versus Western Michigan … goal was the insurance-empty-net goal that gave the Irish a 4-2 win over the Broncos … goal was his lone point in five postseason games.

PREP & PERSONAL: Graduated from Burnsville High School in Burnsville, Minn., where he lettered three seasons … lettered in eighth and ninth grade for Faribault High School … two-time captain at Burnsville … selected all-conference in ninth grade at Faribault and all-conference as a junior and senior at Burnsville … selected team most valuable player as a senior … winner of the Gunderson Award for student-athlete of the year in the Lake Conference for hockey … led Burnsville in scoring as a senior with 23 goals and 32 assists for 55 points … had 47 goals and 67 assists for 114 career points in three seasons … played in the Great 8 tournament for top seniors in Minnesota, following his senior year … played two seasons of junior hockey with the Omaha/River City Lancers program … served as team captain of the 2002-03 Lancers … helped team to 36-19-5 record and a trip to the Clark Cup championship series versus Lincoln Stars … lost in finals to Stars, three games to one … fifth in scoring for River City with 14 goals and 25 assists for 39 points … led Lancers with three short-handed goals … had three goals and four assists in 11 playoff games … led team to 46-12-3 record and Anderson Cup title (regular season champs) in 2001-02 … Lancers lost in finals … had 15 goals and 17 assists for 32 points … winner of team’s ‘Motto McLean Award’ given to the player who best exemplifies, both on and off the ice, the qualities of dedication and leadership to his team and the community … third Omaha/River City Lancer to play for the Irish joining Yan Stastny (`01-’03) and Tony Zasowski (`99-’03) … full name is Taylor Jon Jindra … son of Larry and Deb Jindra … has one sister and one brother … born August 24, 1982, in New Prague, Minn. … accountancy major in the Mendoza College of Business.
