  • Shot a 65 (-6) in the second round of the 2017 Schooner Fall Classic (par 71) for the lowest round in Fighting Irish history.  
  • Concluded her career with a 74.89 stroke average, which ranks as the fifth-best career stroke average in program history.
  • Saw 76 of her 82 career rounds counted towards team scoring (.927), which ranks as the seventh-best percentage in the Irish records book. 
  • Her 2017-18 stroke average of 73.86 ranks as the seventh-lowest single season stroke average in program history.

AS A SENIOR

  • Finished the 2018-19 season with an 73.56 stroke average (second-lowest on the team).
  • Shot three rounds at even par during the fall slate.
  • Started the first three Notre Dame tournaments of the fall 2018 season before missing the remainder of the year.

PERSONAL DATA

  • Full name is Madeleine Rose Hamilton.
  • Daughter of Kim and Vince Hamilton, and is the oldest of two children.
  • Brother, Allen, plays golf at the University of Kentucky.
  • Father, Vince, Played golf at University of Kentucky from 1981-85, earning Academic All-Southeastern Conference honors in 1983-84.
  • Second player from state of Kentucky to play for the Fighting Irish (joining Lauren Fuchs, from Louisville, who played two seasons for Notre Dame ((2000-2002)).
  • Near forefront of her high school with a 3.95 cumulative GPA.
  • Spent portion of 2017 summer on an academic trip to Greece with teammate Emma Albrecht and several other Notre Dame student-athletes.
  • Majoring in Management (Consulting) with a minor Constitutional Studies.
  • Had a Senator McConnell Internship in Washington, D.C. during the summer of 2018.
