AS A JUNIOR: Rowed primarily with one of Notre Dame[apos]s varsity four boats … sat in the varsity eight ‘B’ boat that took fourth place at the Lubbers Cup (7:11.31) … rowed with second and third varsity four crews that each placed first against Michigan State … a member of the second varsity four crew that earned a first-place finish as well as two second-place finishes at the Charles River Challenge … led the second varsity four crew to the gold medal at the BIG EAST Championship (7:51.30) … rowed with Notre Dame A open four crew that finished fourth with a time of 7:39.70 at the Central/South Region Championships … competed in the varsity eight competition at the Head of the Rock, placing ninth … at the Cal-Sag Regatta helped her team to a 18th place showing in a time of 16:56.20 … then competed with the varsity eight E that finished in third place … earned first monogram and was named to the BIG EAST Academic All-Star Team.
AS A SOPHOMORE: First-year member of Spent her first season on the Notre Dame rowing team as a member of the first novice eight boat … sat in the novice eight boat that earned an appearance in the Grand Finals at the Central/South Region Championships … was in novice eight boat that finished second at BIG EAST Championships … member of novice eight crew that opened the spring season with seven consecutive race victories … (three victories over Tennessee and Minnesota, a victory over Alabama and Cincinnati, Michigan and Michigan State, California, and UCLA) … made Notre Dame debut at the Head of the Rock in the novice eight ‘A’ boat, placing fourth out of 16 entries while also riding in the varsity eight ‘E’ boat.
PREP AND PERSONAL: Earned four letters in outdoor track & field, two in indoor track, and three in cross country … excelled in middle distance and long distant events in both outdoor and indoor track and field, as well as throwing the discuss…both indoor and outdoor track teams were league and county champions for all four years of her career … garnered all-conference her junior year on both indoor and outdoor track teams…served as team captain her senior year for outdoor track and cross country … received multiple all-league and all-section honors through out her career, along with best underclassman award and overall coaches award … top finisher in multiple local 5k and 10k road races … member of National Honor Society, Drama Club, and Make-A-Wish Club … daughter of Michael and Nancy Nestor…brother, Sean played football at Cornell University … born July 7, 1986 in Honolulu, Hawaii … enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters and is majoring in design.
