Made season debut playing as an individual entrant at the Notre Dame Clover Cup (Mar. 17-19) shooting rounds of 89-84-84=257 (+41).

As A Junior

• Made season debut at the Notre Dame Clover Cup (Mar. 11-13) tying for 91st place shooting rounds of 79-86-86=251 (+35).

AS A SOPHOMORE

Made season debut as individual competitor at Clover Cup, finishing in 83rd place with 41-over par 257 (85-83-89).

AS A FRESHMAN

Finished the season with an 85.69 stroke average in 16 rounds.
Finished tied for 49th in college debut at the IU Fall Kickoff (Sept. 8) shooting rounds of 78-87=165 (+21).
Finished tied for 90th at the Mary Fossum Invitational (Sept. 14-15) shooting rounds of 88-86-88=262 (+46).
Finished tied for 92nd at the Mercedes Benz Collegiate Championships (Sept. 20-22) shooting rounds of 87-85=172 (+28).
Finished tied for 84th at the Notre Dame Clover Cup (Mar. 14-16) shooting rounds of 88-83-81=252 (+36).

PREP AND PERSONAL

Four year letterwinner at Lansing Catholic High School, also earned two letters in basketball and one in softball.
Earned all-conference, all-region, and all-state accolades in both junior and senior seasons.
Helped lead LCHS to three team state championships (’10,’11,’12).
Was a member of the National Honors Society.
Recipient of the CAAC Academic Award, and earned the Detroit Free Press Scholar- Athlete Award.
Named academic all- state.
Full Name is Janie Marie Fineis, born in East Lansing, Michigan.
Daughter of Jeff and Mary Fineis, has one brother named Michael.
Mother, Mary played softball at Michigan State University.
Enrolled in Notre Dame’s top- ranked Mendoza College of Business where she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Served as team representative on Notre Dame’s Student- Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 school years.
