FALL 2008: Did not race for the Irish at the Head of the Rock Regatta…competed in her first event as an Irish rower at the Southland Regatta in the novice eight race…she and the crew of the Notre Dame ‘B’ boat completed the race with a final time of 20:43.16.

PREP AND PERSONAL: Competed in soccer and track at Mercy High School in Middleton, Conn….earned letters in track for her efforts freshman and sophomore year…was selected as a New York State scholar athlete in [apos]02 and [apos]03…first began rowing while abroad in Cairo, Egypt in the Spring of [apos]08 and practiced on the Nile River… was a member of the National Honor Society…served as the Yearbook editor and a member of the mock trial team…born in Lake Forest, Ill. on August 16, 1987…daughter of Jim Hofman and Marybeth Hanavan…has three siblings: Colin, Vanessa and Ethan…father, Jim, is a 1980 graduate of Notre Dame…enrolled in the College of Arts and Letters as a double major in biology and anthropology.
