Bio • Career Bests Another prolific cog in Notre Dame’s powerful backstroke unit … three-time monogram winner … ranks fourth all-time in the 100-yard back (50.29) and fifth in the 200 back (1:49.54) and eighth in the 200 IM (1:52.03) … talented and able to persevere … nine-time first-team prep All-American … swam the 800-meter freestyle as a member of the Irish Aquatics Swim Club at the 2005 ConcoPhillips Swimming National Championships … finished 12th in the 100- meter back at 2004 USA Swimming Summer National Championships, representing Pittsburgh-area Jewish Community Center. Clocked BIG EAST ‘A’ times in the 100 back (50.95), 200 back (1:52.52) and 200 IM (1:52.55) … all of those marks were registered at the BIG EAST Championships … placed 10th in the 100 back, with his top time of 50.95 coming during prelims … was 17th in the 200 back … claimed a 14th-place showing in the 200 IM at the conference meet … his preliminary time of 1:52.52 was a season-best … third on the team in the 100 back … notched two victories during the season as part of the 400- yard medley relay team … wins came in dual meets against Pittsburgh and Evansville … earned a monogram. Ranked among Notre Dame’s top six in five different events: second in 100 back (50.59), fourth in 200 back (1:50.90), fifth in 200 IM (1:52.30), and sixth in 50 free (21.53) and 100 free (46.71) … turned in three of the top six Irish times in the 100 back … scored 224.5 points, including 146.5 in individual competition … had 22 in the BIG EAST meet … scored in all three of his events, ending up seventh in the 100 back, 10th in the 200 back, and 14th in the 200 IM … finaled in three events at the Notre Dame Invitational, taking third in the 100 back, fifth in the 200 back, and sixth in the 200 IM … was seeded in the top eight in his three major events heading into the conference meet … took part in three relays that set meet records at the Dennis Stark Relays: 400 medley (3:29.84), 400 free (3:09.34), and 400 back (3:29.41).
