Pat Kavanagh Ties Points Record In 18-8 Win Over #20 Michigan

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Pat Kavanagh was dealing in Saturday’s win for No. 2/2 Notre Dame, tying his own program record for points in a game with 10 to lead the Irish to an 18-8 victory over RV/#20 Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Pat Kavanagh finished with four goals and six assists, tying the record he has set twice in his career. His six assists match his season high and are one shy of the program record for assists in a game which he holds a share of.

Chris Kavanagh also had a productive day in the attack, scoring three goals for his sixth hat trick in as many games this season. Eric Dobson, Jake Taylor, Jack Simmons and Jalen Seymour each added two in the win.

In cage, Liam Entenmann once again turned in a stellar performance, making 11 saves and allowing just six goals.

The second quarter was all Irish, as the defense locked down and held the Wolverines scoreless. On the other end Notre Dame put three more past the Michigan goalie, two by Jake Taylor and one by Jalen Seymour to make it 9-2 at the half.

Notre Dame outscored the hosts in the third quarter by a margin of 4-3 to make the score 13-5, with all four goals coming from different players.
