Onwualu and Nasland Join Jack Swarbrick Radio Show for 2016-17

University of Notre Dame football senior linebacker and co-captain James Onwualu and Irish senior softball pitcher Rachel Nasland join Notre Dame vice president and James E. Rohr director of athletics Jack Swarbrick as co-hosts for the Jack Swarbrick Radio Show that debuts this weekend for the 2016-17 season.

Look for the Jack Swarbrick Radio Show on a weekly basis beginning Saturday (Sept. 3) and for 28 weeks (through March 25, 2017, with no shows on Dec. 24 or 31) on ESPN 1000 AM radio (WMVP) in Chicago, on NewsTalk 960 WSBT-AM in South Bend and on NewsTalk 1430 WXNT-AM in Indianapolis. It’s also available via video podcasts of interview segments on WatchND and via audio podcasts on WatchND and iTunes.

The hour-long program includes segments with various Notre Dame coaches and athletes, as well as other guests from all facets of athletics. The show also features Swarbrick and Irish coaches and athletes sharing their perspectives on the college athletics world at-large.

The guests this week are Irish senior defensive lineman and football co-captain Isaac Rochell and second-year Notre Dame volleyball head coach Jim McLaughlin (his team started the season 3-0).

The show can be heard regularly in Chicago at 6 a.m. Eastern time each Saturday on ESPN 1000 (WMVP)–and on Saturday mornings on WSBT (8 a.m. ET, except for seven and a half hours prior to prime-time kickoffs). NewsTalk 1430 WXNT-AM in Indianapolis will air the show at 7 a.m. on Saturdays.

The show is produced by Fighting Irish Media in its Joyce Center studios, with production assistance from studio announcer Jack Nolan.
