Notre Dame To Play In 2009 Chicago Invitational Challenge In November

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Notre Dame will be one of eight teams competing in the fourth annual Chicago Invitational Challenge, which will be held Nov. 27-28, 2009 at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The seven other teams in the field will include Northwestern, Iowa State, Saint Louis, Liberty Mississippi Valley State, Tennessee State and Kennesaw State.

Rounds one and two (dates still to be determined and finalized) will be played at Notre Dame, Northwestern, Iowa Sate and Saint Louis, with the final rounds held during the Thanksgiving weekend, Nov. 27-28 at the Sears Centre.

Notre Dame is scheduled to play Northwestern on Nov. 27 and Iowa State and Saint Louis will square off in the other matchup. The winners will meet in the title game the following day (Nov. 28) while the loser will meet in a consolation game.

The matchup between the Irish and the Wildcats will bed the first since Nov. 29, 1984. Notre Dame leads the all-time series 63-23-1.

Tournament pass prices are $109 for floor seats, $98 for club level, $87 for lower bowl and $65 for upper bowl and all are good for all four games.
