Notre Dame, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame Marketing and Promotions Department was honored with three awards at the 2007 National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrations (NACMA) Convention for the 2006-07 year. The awards were presented during NACMA’s 16th annual Convention in Orlando, Fla., on June 7.

In Group I, Notre Dame earned gold for single-day attendance promotion for Olympic sports, silver for single-day attendance promotion for football and bronze for ticket sales piece.

Initiated in 2003, the NACMA Awards honor outstanding achievement in marketing and promotions. Awards are presented in 16 categories with each category divided into three groups based upon school size and conference affiliations to promote fairness. A total of 922 entries were received for the 2006-07 school year.

NACMA, which is administered by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), is the first organization of its kind to provide educational and networking opportunities; enhancement of acceptable operation standards and ethics; and establishment of the overall prestige and understanding of the profession of athletics marketing administrators.

In its 42nd year, NACDA is the professional and educational association for more than 6,100 college athletics administrators at more than 1,600 institutions throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico.
