Notre Dame Hockey Game At Alaska To Be Televised Via Tape Delay On WHME-TV 46

Notre Dame, Ind. – The Notre Dame Fighting Irish travel to Fairbanks, Alaska this weekend for a pair of games with the University of Alaska Nanooks on Fri.-Sat., Feb. 15-16 at 7:05 p.m. (AST). Due to the four-hour difference in time zones, the games will begin at 11:05 p.m. in South Bend.

Irish hockey fans will be able to watch Friday night’s contest via tape delay with the help of WHME-TV 46. The important CCHA clash will be televised by WHME on Saturday, Feb. 16, beginning at 7:00 p.m.

The telecast comes via KFXF Fox Channel 7 in Fairbanks and will have longtime Nanook broadcaster Bruce Cech handling the play-by-play with Erik Drygas providing the color commentary and Giacomo Accardo serving as the rinkside reporter.

Both games can be heard live on WDND 1490 in South Bend, beginning at 11:05 p.m. with Mike Lockert providing the play-by-play. The live audio also can be heard via the Notre Dame website at und.com.

The Irish are currently fourth in the CCHA with a 20-10-2 overall record and a 13-7-2 record in conference play. Alaska is tied for ninth in the league standings and is 8-16-4 on the season and 8-13-3 in league action.
