April 12, 2003

Notre Dame, Ind. – The University of Notre Dame football team will play host to ESPN’s College Gameday crew as part of its spring football tour on Tuesday, April 15, at the Moose Krause Practice Fields. Gameday hosts Chris Fowler, Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit will be in South Bend on Tuesday as part of the show reporting on the progress of spring practices for the Irish football program.

Notre Dame is one of five schools to be featured as part of this inaugural spring tour as it is a who’s who among college football programs. The five-day series originates from a different school each day and features football national powers Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Penn State, Iowa and Ohio State. The programs will include a “Spring Syllabus” previewing each teams strengths, weaknesses and schedules, in addition to feature interviews with players and coaches. All interviews and features will air during all editions of SportsCenter with the show debuting Monday, April 14 at 6:00 p.m. EST.

Although the cast and crew will be on the Notre Dame campus, the set will be closed to all fans.
