NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Notre Dame Football Review, a two-hour condensed replay of NBC’s broadcast of Irish home football games can be seen on the following Sunday from 10 a.m.-noon (EST) and again that Friday from 7-9 p.m. (EST) on WAAT-TV (Channel 69) in South Bend. The show is a production of Notre Dame Sports Properties and also is available in other major media markets via over-the-air syndication (check local listings).

NBC’s coverage of Notre Dame’s 28-20 win over No. 8 Michigan on Sept. 11 delivered a 4.0 national rating/10 share, making it the highest-rated season opener since a 5.1/14 on Sept. 5, 1998 for a 36-20 Irish win over fifth-ranked Michigan, according to Nielsen Media Research.

The 4.0/10 represents a 29 percent hike over last year’s opener — a 29-26 overtime win over Washington State that produced a 3.1/8. It’s the best rating for any Notre Dame telecast on NBC since a 4.4/11 vs. Boston College on Nov. 2, 2002.

The Irish return to NBC on Saturday, Sept. 25 for a 2:30 p.m. (EST) kickoff vs. Washington at Notre Dame Stadium. The 2004 season is NBC’s 14th as the exclusive network for Notre Dame home football games.
