Sunday’s Notre Dame baseball doubleheader at Connecticut is in a rain delay. The Irish were in the middle of their infield pregame drills when the tarp was put back on the field. As of 12:35 eastern, the tarp remains on the field.

UConn’s Christian Field does not have lights, meaning that the teams may be limited to one game if play is able to begin. If no games are played on Sunday or if the three games are not completed by Monday, the teams are required to use Tuesday as a makeup day.

The ND Sports Hotline – 574-631-3000 (then 4 and 1) will provide updates at the top of each hour, throughout the UConn series (including during rain delays). The final update will occur once the games are completed or called off. The official Connecticut website (www.uconnhuskies.com) plans on providing livestats for the entire series.

Notre Dame is all too familiar with playing on the road this season, as the Irish have logged nearly 16,000 miles in travel while playing throughout the nation.
