NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The third-ranked Irish women’s tennis team will travel to Indiana Thursday for a 3:00 p.m. midweek matchup in Bloomington.
Notre Dame slipped one spot to No. 3 in this week’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) poll, just behind Northwestern and Georgia.
The Irish are coming off two wins over the weekend, as Notre Dame defeated Vanderbilt, 5-2, on Friday at the Eck Tennis Pavilion, before hitting the road to down No. 12 Tennessee, 5-2, in Knoxville on Sunday.
The Hoosiers are ranked 37th nationally and are 9-6 on the season after a 7-0 setback to No. 1 Northwestern.
Indiana is led by Katya Zapadalova, who competed in the 2008 NCAA Singles Tournament as a freshman, and two-time all-Big Ten selection Alba Berdala.
Live stats will be available at www.iuhoosiers.com and complete results can be found at www.und.com following the match.
