No. 28 Irish Ready To Battle No. 2 Buckeyes

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – After having more than a week break, the 28th-ranked University of Notre Dame men’s tennis team travels to Columbus, Ohio to battle No. 3 Ohio State Wednesday, at 4:00 p.m. (ET) in the final non-conference match this season at the Stickney Tennis Center.

SCOUTING THE IRISH

– Notre Dame is currently 15-8 on the season – the Irish most recently defeated Ball State, 6-1 (April 2) and (then) No. 64 Southern Methodist, 6-1 and IUPUI, 7-0 in a doubleheader on April 3 – Notre Dame has won seven of its last eight matches – the Irish remain at No. 28 in the Campbell/ITA Tennis Rankings – Junior Casey Watt (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) is ranked No. 54 in the singles rankings and Daniel Stahl (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) is No. 99 – Stahl is on a seven-match winning streak – the senior carries a 14-6 dual season record.
