NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The 23rd-ranked Notre Dame men’s tennis team is set to face Ball State Saturday at 1:00 p.m. (ET) in Muncie, Ind., followed by a doubleheader versus Southern Methodist at 1:00 p.m. and IUPUI at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
IRISH NOTES
Notre Dame is currently 12-8 on the season – the Irish are 9-8 against ranked opponents – most recently, the Irish defeated USF in their first conference matchup, 5-2, and downed Dayton, 7-0 – Notre Dame is ranked No. 23 in the Campbell/ITA National Team Rankings – Casey Watt remains in the singles ranks (No. 64), while Daniel Stahl moved into the ranks for the first time this season at No. 89 and Stephen Havens is No. 125 – Stahl continues his winning streak and has now picked up six-straight wins and has defeated three-straight ranked opponents – the Irish hit the road for their final two matches and will face No. 3 Ohio State (April 13) and 2010 BIG EAST Conference champion Louisville on April 23.

Ball State is currently 8-10 on the season – most recently, the Cardinals were defeated by Portland, 5-1 (March 26), Marquette, 5-1 (March 25) and Saint Mary’s College, 4-2 (March 25) – the Bulls are ranked No. 50 in the Campbell/ITA National Team Rankings – Dalton Albertin plays the No. 1 position for the Cardinals and has a 10-6 record at the top – Dave Thomas is on a two-match winning streak at the No. 6 position – following the match against the Irish, the Cardinals will play host to Anderson at 5:30 p.m.
