No. 21 Irish To Battle No. 14 Kentucky

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – With a quick turnaround from defeating the USTA Junior National Team, 5-2 on Tuesday, the 21st-ranked University of Notre Dame men’s tennis team will face No. 14 Kentucky Thursday at 1:00 p.m. (ET) at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington, Ky.

SCOUTING THE IRISH – Notre Dame is currently 10-7 on the season – The Irish most recently competed in an exhibition match versus the USTA Junior National Team and won 5-2 – The Irish improved from No. 25 in the Campbell/ITA Tennis Rankings to No. 21 (released March 15) – Junior Casey Watt (Gibsonia, Pa./Pine-Richland) is ranked No. 58 in the singles rankings ââ’¬¦ Daniel Stahl (Bethesda, Md./Walt Whitman) is perfect through four matches now, most notably, he downed Texas A&M’s 80th-ranked Alexis Klegou in straight sets, 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 and No. 65 Abe Souza of Illinois in a two-set match (6-4, 6-1).
