No. 14 Ranked Notre Dame Swimming & Diving In Atlanta for First ACC Meet to Face Georgia Tech

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The No. 14 Notre Dame Swimming and Diving team opens its ACC portion of their meet season in a dual meet on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 21 and 22, against Georgia Tech at the McAuley Aquatic Center. Friday’s action will start at 4 p.m. ET, while day two of the dual meet will begin on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. ET at the McAuley Aquatic Center.

The Fighting Irish are coming off a record-setting performance in the Dennis Stark Relays and sweeping dual meets against Oakland and Indiana State at home in the Rolfs Aquatics Center. Head Coach Mike Litzinger says his 14th ranked squad is motivated to start the ACC season.

“Our team is excited to open up ACC competition with GT. They are a rapidly improving team, well coached, and hungry like ourselves. I fully expect it to be a great meet on both sides.”

The Yellow Jackets Men’s team are ranked No. 22 nationally by CollegeSwimming.com, with a 2-0 record on the season with wins over Pittsburgh and Boston College on Oct. 8. Georgia Tech’s women’s team is 2-1 on the year and is coming off a split versus Pittsburgh and Boston College in an ACC double dual meet on Oct. 8 in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

The dual meet and ACC Open for the Fighting Irish will be at the site of the women’s swimming and diving championships, as well as the men’s diving championships that will be held over a three-day span from Feb. 13-16. The men’s swimming championships will take place from Feb. 27 to Mar. 2.
